Overview:
Within Spirit Box Academy, there are 3 units, 5 modules within each unit, and a growing lesson library around each module. Under each module there are lesson plans, activities, PowerPoints, worksheets, case studies, and blog posts. Within the module there are level 1 (introduction to the concepts) and level 2 (advanced students who are applying what they have learned to their Spirit Box or School Based Enterprise) lessons.
This is an ever evolving and growing curriculum. Each year we will add more lessons and resources to the curriculum to help your students learn about business through project based learning.
Unit 1: Plan your Business
Understand how to define and grow your ‘Entrepreneurial Spirit’ with planning methods and research that will support your business goals.
Module 1: Entrepreneurship
The purpose of the ‘Entrepreneur' module is to establish the entrepreneur spirit and careers as business creators and developers.
Module 2: Market Research
The purpose of ‘Market Research’ is to support marketing and business decision making.
Module 3: Competitive Research
The purpose of ‘Competitive Research’ is the process used to evaluate competitors in your market looking for advantages, market share, cost, SWOT analysis, barriers, and niche culminating with a competitive strategy.
Module 4: Calculating Cost & Funding
The purpose of ‘Cost and Funding’ is to research and study concepts, techniques, and gain understanding in a variety of stages that best secures ‘Start-Up’ financial needs.
Module 5: Business Planning
The purpose of creating a ‘Business Plan’, is to define and grow your ‘Entrepreneurial Spirit’ with planning methods and research that will support your business goals.
Unit 2: Operate your Business
Understand how to articulate the processes necessary to insure quality, customer satisfaction and meeting financial success goals.
Module 1: Management
Learning outcome: The purpose of ‘Management Module’ is to provide understanding of organizing, planning and analyzing business activities that will effectively support managing a business.
Module 2: Finance
Learning outcome: The purpose of ‘Finance Module’ is to gain knowledge of fundamental concepts and tools with application in decision making in business operations.
Module 3: Sales, Marketing, and Branding
Learning outcome: The purpose of ‘Sales, Marketing, and Branding Module’ is to provide understanding of the importance of buyer behavior in decision making in measuring and managing return on marketing.
Module 4: Production
Learning outcome: The purpose of ‘Production Module’ is to provide understanding in the relevant logistics needed to meet the demands of the production process.
Module 5: Operations Plan
Learning outcome: The purpose of ‘Operations Plan Module’ is to provide understanding in articulating the processes necessary to insure quality, customer satisfaction and meeting financial success goals.

Understand how to assess the competitive landscape your business will operate in. Learn strategies for how to create and maintain a competitive advantage
Module 1: Market Strategy
Learning outcome: The purpose of ‘Market Strategy Module’ is to provide understanding of fundamental market concepts, theories, and principles in the areas of marketing.
Module 2: Market Strategy Plan
Learning outcome: The purpose of ‘Market Strategy Plan Module’ is to develop and analyze marketing strategies and plans that include various elements of the marketing mix.
Module 3: Competitive Advantage Plan
Learning outcome: The purpose of the ‘Competitive Advantage Plan Module’ is to develop a statement that will logically describe why the business will succeed, how the business will differ, or what the business will do better than the competition.
Module 4: Scaling a Business
Learning outcome: The purpose of ‘Scaling Business Module’ is to design the correct business model that will align with business growth at an incremental rate over time.
Module 5: Growth Marketing Plan
Learning outcome: The purpose of ‘Growth Marketing Plan Module’ is to analyze strategies that support business growth in a sustainable way over the lifetime of the business.
